  3. Carla has lived in the same city, since she has been born. // досі живу в місті has lived, since + was born (завжди PS) Correct: Carla has lived in the same city, since she was born.
  4. My grandparents came from their holidays a week ago. // a week ago - конкретний час у минулому

  6. Mark has already finished dinner. // already - дія завершена до моменту мовлення
  7. I have caught cold a few days ago and i have been ill since then. // ago → PS; since → PP (хвороба триває) Correct: I caught cold a few days ago and i have been ill since then.

Past perfect vs Past simple

  1. Tom gave me the book yesterday, but I knew he hadn't read it.

  4. The postman came after I had left the office.
  5. When the old lady returned to her flat, she saw that burglars had broken into.
